I just received a set of these in raw aluminum finish. I will of course be painting them black!

The ones with polished insides are mine.  Phil did these custom for me - I can say his attention to detail and customer service has been great.  The initial set HE was not pleased with, so he purchased a full new polishing setup to bring the shine to a place he was happy with.  I should receive the shrouds this week and will test fit.

The polish looks good. Saw these earlier on Facebook. It was noted the thickness was reassuring. Great to have someone making cool stuff. Thumbs up to Mr. Phil Rohde.  My polisher showed up last week after 2 years. I will be having the shiny motor mounts available again.

Version 2.  Phil changed it a bit to capture more air.  Phil’s going to another run in January if there is enough interest.  I’ll post more info when I get it as far as price and ordering.

I know this style has been common, and I don't have data that says how much/if it matters, but I'd suspect heat transfer would be more effective with air guided into the radiator at a 90*/perpendicular angle like OE.

I’d say Honda got it right with the oem shrouds, lower splash guard and the front snorkel (86/87).

I think black oem shrouds look the best on R's. I like running the splash guards but when you put a puck stabilizer on them like a CCP you have to remove the splash guard unfortunately.
