Title: In the home stretch, just waiting on a few engine parts.
Post by: robjust on July 13, 2021, 07:10:11 PM
The rolling chassis is done, and just wanting on a +4 crank, cylinder and head. The engine parts were shipped 2 weeks ago, one box got here without issue, the other sent the same day, from the same place is showing "Due to weather your delivery is delayed"....

Looking good! Were the bearings in the cases when you got them?

They were. Arlan from LED sent it to me, and he installed the bearings and retainers before sending it out. I installed the seals yesterday. I got an update from UPS this morning that the crank, and rest of parts are on the the truck and out for delivery. It seems like I have been pretty relaxed about this build, but as I get closer, I am getting more excited to get it finished and hear it run.

Joe,

It is an ES2 without the PV. Without the PV Arlan could do ? more ? with the porting or port timing. He also sent a J pipe with it, so I am excited to see how it runs.

Arlan dosent like the PV cylinders cause they apparently suck down power and aren't against good

Engine is done and leak tested. The exhaust is a new 350J from Arlan, I cleaned it up and messed around a bit to personalize it.

Very nice man, how's the billet cases, they look awesome.

Question- on the PV, does Arlan just put a block off plate on it or does it go down into the area where the PV was to take up the space?
