Guys,
i have a 38mm A/S on a ported OEM cylinder. i just finished my break-in period. bike runs pretty good but i can tell its rich due to the sponge on the silencer (Allen from CT set it up and said it would be a little fat). what are my next steps/sizes to test this weekend?
currently: DGJ (third clip), 50 Main, 175 Pilot. riding at sea level.
Thanks.

i would do some plug chops... And go from there

wasn't sure if i should make an adjustment/change something then do a plug chop since i know it was setup rich???
-
I would only trust the plug to tell me what jetting I needed on a fresh motor

do you have a temp gauge? a temp gauge will help with tuning too.

Rich won't hurt your cylinder. Running lean will seize the piston. If it is obviously too rich with the plug check then you can go down a jet size on the main. Better safe than sorry. Alot depends on the pipe you are using. I fried my piston with a 175 main jet using a PT race pipe on a OEM ported cylinder.

How does it feel? Does ot start easy and idle good? Any flat spots or sputtering? Your plug tells a lot, but the feel and sound is important too. If you do start changing anything, do one thing at a time.
