i get the feeling that once impounded, they destroy them.  Dont bother to check vins if stolen and try to get them back to rightful owner.  Wasnt there a video going around of New York or some big city, running a bulldozer over impounded bikes and quads a couple years ago?

Yes! I remember that Video!!!! New York Mayor Adams!!! What a bafoon!  All those nice quads being destroyed !!!! Too bad any rightful owner of any of the stolen ones could identify them and SUE the state for Destruction of Personal Property!!!!!
