Title: Discontinued Bolt RR Axle - Part# 43127-HB9-000
Post by: Langbolt on February 19, 2024, 03:20:07 PM
Well, I remember a while back that some people were wondering if the 400EX or 450R threaded axle component was compatible with the 250R.

NO, unfortunately it is 7mm too short.

I'm going to reach out to the Manufacturers that are making the replacement parts for the 400ex & 450R and let them know that if they make the threaded section 7mm longer it will fit our 250R's.

Here's the ones on Amazon.... https://www.amazon.com/MATI-TRX300EX-TRX400EX-TRX450ER-Sportrax/dp/B09QSMVN1K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=SULZIPOTPFC1&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.2RowhsdXdPEbcGQnXuwajAjHwE4nwE8hHD9yZsDWm4ZkK4qjCDcRbXSBBy-ulSgOoVh_zyVbWVls0dNa3qMAxx3HucsOCnXWeElePhsuxqqdYfIZ7PgDVSl2VeJ9kj9Q_PC2yQ31WOnew0TowHApYgNF7NerZWN8M39N2fmYan2b-Zr-31sSeQxHVLIr91sOH_YmRkoLpRWjxLz1T9_T8uuRj45x1sPUGwNfcJj8lSuQkSeEmNoqkwFLhTBjDD5-fFcFIrby8AuasMcPsrdpwipjZvuk89dO_8pyzNYc4CU.K3bsc62cPh6WFiEjmcYQjHbGqxrSkBjZKOWK7iqGbVM&dib_tag=se&keywords=400ex+axle+nut&qid=1708373892&sprefix=400ex+axle+nut%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1

I had to re-use my 250R one.....but replaced all the other components.... :)

So I stumbled upon this issue last winter. I ended up machining a .250” stainless steel spacer. Hopefully you can persuade someone to reproduce the actual 250R piece as most folks don’t have access to a lathe.

I commented on the REVIEW as well as REPORTED that if they made the bolt (the threaded section) 7mm longer they could offer it to the '86-'89 TRX250R Owners :D Hopefully they'll take my suggestion. :D
