So it looks like FOX got rid of SPEED and made Fox Sports One. The last thing we needed is another ESPN type channel. It started saturday, and the few times I've clicked on it there was absolutely nothing to do with an engine. I wonder what will happen when its time for Super Cross?
-
I was wondering the same thing was pretty pissed when I couldn't find it lol
-
They had a great card for ufc on sat, better than circle car.
-
Yeah I tend to watch Discovery Velocity channel most of the time.
-
All I can say, with Fox Sport 1, 219 on dish TV, you best like a foot ball, base ball, basket ball or fighting gloves, cause an engine dont look like is going to have much to do with it.
I couldnt find Nascar race Sunday, sorry as it is I still wanted to see who won.

I believe we have a difference of opinion here. Lol Especially when they're running on dirt. I never have cared any at all about football, baseball, basketball, or any kind of fighting. If I did there's already a hundred channels for that stuff. Only decent thing they did was stick it right in the middle of a bunch of channels I skip over anyway.

I couldnt care less about baseball, football, and basketball, but i love the ufc.

It weird how they're mixing it up on FS1 and FS2. I couldn't find the motogp race from Indy on sunday because my cable provider had it listed wrong. Most of the motorsports will be FS2, unless it's big enough to be live on FS1 I guess. Speed channel is dead. I forget who's gonna have SX(fox or cbs or nbc). It's a mess right now. Racertv hasn't been on much either, which I enjoy watching also.

Speed Channel was a waste to begin with the past few years with the exception of their supercross coverage. CBSActionSportsNetwork has been getting the nod lately at my house.
Nothing against Nascar or Nascar fans but wouldn't you think they would have their own channel dedicated to nothing but Nascar? Just like the NFL and NHL have?
-
Its been crap since it went from Speednetwork to Speed.
Reality TV has messed up a lot of channels. look at Discovery and History, this is what is going to happen.

I hope the supercross and outdoor motocross does not take a step back. I don't have fuel and I have a very large channel package with xfinity. Fuel at this time is in a small 10 month adder package that I do not plan on getting. It may end up making me check into other options. One would think that with the number of channels avail now that you would see more coverage but that is not the case. In the mid to late 80's atv races from one round of the golden state nationals and all of the mickey thompson series were shown each year. I remember them even having a speedway series from costa mesa on with quads and bikes back then. You would see a lot more usac midget and world of outlaws dirt races in the past as well. Crazy to me.

It has everything to do with viewership. How many young and middle age people, do you think, have any interest in our motosport. Not many! Now that being said, if the Kardash****'s and the Bieberwipes were to appear
at these events, you can bet the bank, every cable network would be fighting for the rights. Head Bieberwipe has 40 million tweeter followers. Get my point? :hororr:

Got it F-Red, your right, just like everybody wants to race MX & not a safer type of racing like TT.
It is the crowd that draws them, mx is big even on the local levels, but what most racers dont know, those folks coming to watch want to see riders get broke up, cut up, parilized, do the death defying act or bikes & quads be destroyed. Folks love to watch stuff like that, the more gorry it is, more folks will come to watch & the bigger it is soon or later here comes TV.

OMG! It took us years to get Supercross & Outdoor MX Coverage in CANADA....we couldn't get ESPN or ESPN2 (thanks CRTC)....then we finally got SPEED with all the coverage and then some went to ABC or CBS.....but we could still watch it.....I don't know if they're going to make FOX1 or FOX2 available in CANADA....we can't get FUEL tv.....:( I still can't understand with NAFTA (North American Free Trade Act) that we can't buy Direct TV or DISH....even though we can get the signal across the border.....I sure hope we get it available on one of our channels (Sport Net)

I fricken hate Fox anything. And during the first AMA National on the new station, just as Tomac and Roczen were dicing for the lead at Utah, they go to commercial. When the race comes back on Tomac had made the pass. RUINED is all I can say...
Then again, that same thing happened when it was Speed...
-
I rarely ever watch tv, and when I turned the tube on the other day to speed channel I was shocked. Hopefully it does no ruin the SX coverage, pretty much the only reason I have cable honestly.

Mav TV and Velocity...Mav is owned by Lucas oil...And they sponsor a lot of racing events....I just got an email from mav TV and they say they are going to add more and more grassroots racing events...Awesome!
-
Never heard of those channels.if I wonder if I get either one with standard direct tv? I guess Lucas Oil owns it then it's probably good.
-
Use to love watching fuel when they had skateboarding, bmx, mx, freestyle mx and other extreme sports but now it basically a ufc channel and now they messed up my speed channel. I agree the programming has fallen off the last couple of years.
-
Velocity is channel 281...You will only get it with DirecTV if you have a HiDef Box........Mav TV was just moved by DirecTV and is on channel 214....Mav Tv has kind of a weird off shoot of Pinks with Rich Christensen...It's called won and done...
