Engine and Bottom End / Re: ESR CEO PV Cylinder kits
« on: January 18, 2019, 05:54:05 PM »
Some info from Eddie

sounds like he is doing with a carb and etc. (CEO), what evinrude has done with a direct injection-EFI.  allowing low rpm torque to take place in a 2 stroke.

maybe this is a poor coorelation, but i can't yet comprehend how this works.

I am selling an engine.  asking $1,000 shipped

-86 cases
-trail ported
-2001 cr ignition
-+4 crank (porting to match)
-Neil clutch mod
-polished side covers and cylinder.

Needs:

-bored/honed and piston.
-I would also replace the base studs.  showing signs of corrosion.

Will come with 3 A/S and all replacement gaskets.

Let me know if you have any questions.

looking good.  price is great too.  hopefully no one needs to purchase from the COC anymore at $200 more.

i am going to assume the piston is concave and the head/dome is convex (based on the pictures).  the piston is also interesting.  that hole in the one side got me scratching my head.

when will these be ready?

10
i have heard claims it will rev free'er, but that is probably negligible.

i wonder how may frame crack propagate from not using the head stay???  ponder that.haha

11
I would use the head stay.  there is a reason Honda kept it even after they changed the rear mount.

also, unless someone has some FEA showing the head stay bracket is not a stress member, than i would keep using it.

sonny did not like the way the first one came out. he"s made some changes to the inside of the intake for better flow.

I wonder if he is working with troy for CFD analysis???
