Might be able to get the spare bike back together and get out there with you to break in the motor.

Frame is painted.  Had a little mixup with the color.  I had wanted Tangerine over Orion Silver base but painter matched the Tangerine on my plastic which was over Sunset Pearl instead of Orion Silver.  Probably going to run this combo this year and can always change again in the future.

I want to see you pay to get your 250r on the flight Josh hahaha
ive thought about it. i wouldnt ship a 100% complete quad. less plastic and wheels. dissembled and in a crate to minimize the size. detachable subframe would help even more. i would set it up to buy plastic and wheels while i was up there. assemble it all right there at the dunes with the help of all my buddies. or assemble at Kevins place. Kevin and i spoke about leaving a quad up at his place for me. wouldnt be a bad idea. all that would make for some great stories. not that we dont have some good ones already. last year i bought a set of Full Bores. $600 for the plastics and $435 to take them on the plane with me home. unreal. i know of local guys doing crazier things to get stuff from the mainland home. last trip i spent a lot of $. seeing that i also stopped by at LED to visit Arlan. all worth it. couldnt do it without the kindness of Kevin and his wife.

That would be sweet to have a bike at Kevin's spot.. he's a standup guy for sure!

I might go again but won’t know til probably a few weeks out.  Last year, it just happened to be the same date that my buddy and I could get away.  I hadn’t been to Oregon dunes since about 2008 prior to last year.

X2 on what Gene said - would be great to actually ride with you this year!

It's preference and color-scheme.  I tried black this last year and am switching back to polish.. while I loved the no-maintenance, just didn't fit the color scheme as well as polish.

Black looks nice and a bit utilitarian.  Polish on a dune bike always looks great.

Heck yes Gene!  What are you planning to run for pipe and carb?  LED Puma and 40.5PWKk?
yes going to be running a pwk. Most likely a led pipe. I have been looking to see what else is available.

Not much else available unless you want to move to a higher rpm/powerband pipe - I assume you're having this built as a torque monster like mine?

Speaking of Milwaukie, have any of you checked out the Packout stuff?  https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Storage-Solutions/PACKOUT

I picked up the rolling base and a 3 other smaller boxes/organizers to get all my spare/rebuild parts to and from the dunes.  Seriously one of the best tool purchases I've made in the last 5 years.
