I found the problem! Bad CDI for sure. I verified it with a good cdi off my other son's R. If only I had a spare!

Pretty sure I have an extra cdi off an 87

I had Pete us a OEM cylinder that had  mild port work and a 66.25mm bore. I have no idea who ported the cylinder. It came off an 86 ATC that my buddy bought from a guy that brought it up from California

You ever get your other boys R going we got kevs back running after it ate a top end with only one tank fuel on it never figured out why but were just taking it easy on it

This is definitely something we need to keep in production

I agree 100%.  I think Mr. Sanders should only offer them in the as cast finish (no coated black option).  At the same time only offer them in the stock deck height.  Just my thoughts.

I agree make them just as a stock replacement case would probably help out with time and machine setup trying to cut different deck heights and bore sizes let your builder handle all that

^^ Agreed. Even it it develops a little surface rust, WD and a some elbow grease. I love it RAW!



Mine had an entire season of surface rust some WD-40 and scotch bright pad and its new again

Raw I tried a high temp clear once. It didn't work. Someone I trust advised me to not have it ceramic coated. So all natural it will be
