Hi Tony, the 35 will work as a replacement...works out since you already have it.  The stock boot works also (works with larger carbs also). As far as pipes...Id look for a used FMF.

I'd love to post pics of the shop (machines) I work in but we have a strict policy of no pics to be taken inside.  I'll post some pics of the products I make (fittings, fitting components and valve components).

1985-86 ATC and 86-87 TRX use a "H" bracket for the year mount.  88-89 TRX use a rear top cross member mount .  I've seen guys weld in lower rear engine mounting tabs for the 88/89 frames.  I'd guess added insurance.

on the head stay...I agree with Gene and Fred.  use it to tie in the upper frame rails. bolting it to the head....a matter of opinion.

cases:  85/86 ATC and 86-89 are all pretty much the same (minor difference in the front of the engine)....cosmetic

As to why Honda did things the way they did...they sure hit it out of the park with the greatest quad of all time in a 4 year production run.  oem engines and chassis' still smokin'.  gotta love it

For Sale - Parts / 85 take out cases
« on: November 29, 2018, 12:23:37 AM »
As stated...85 take out cases. Not the best finish on the cases (need powder, paint or polish) but they are 85 take outs.  $475 shipped. Price covers shipping and fees. Sale pending
