Carburetor, Intake, and Exhaust / UPP Intake Boot Ripped
« on: June 15, 2019, 05:28:44 PM »
UPP oversized boot tore like torqued. Maybe from the ridged ESR filter mount to the frame. Need to re-think for flexibility.

The tire changer didnít work on powder coated rims. Found a shop in town. They did a job. $5 a rim to mount.

Thanks guys, I was looking for some good feedback.

Myles, I got the one you have. I had a 20% off coupon. Came to $34 out the door.

Josh, I was going to get that one. Saw people put it in a bench vise. Looked like it worked well. But for the price, I couldnít pass on the bigger one.

Does anybody mount their tires manually? I'm having more trouble finding a shop to mount, ATV sized tires. I was thinking about taking this on myself.

Engine and Bottom End / Re: enough demand for billet cases yet?
« on: May 24, 2019, 12:09:28 PM »
Nice to see others stepping up. There are options available. ESR has made new casting halves. Panthera makes cases for their CR500 engine. Needing billet cases for the 250r, would probably be a small group. At those prices, most of us will improvise. This is just one guys opinion. How about making some all aluminum heel guards? There is a definite market for those.

Oh, that dreaded Workplace Network Security!

Yeah, it's a new fade I'm thinking of trying.

What does it say, for those of us that don't have facebook?

Myles, without a Facebook account, you can still view public Facebook accounts. You can't share, comment or see private stuff. I read the Miami Herald's Facebook page every morning.

Check this out!

Weberís for the money, are really good. I usually buy the cheaper ones. They all burnout eventually.

Boss was going to have those case made in China or Taiwan.

If this is true, they are making a huge mistake. The Chinese don't make a worthy product, of any sort.

Has anyone talked to Eddie? Making the molds for these halves is 80% of effort. Who owns the molds?

Looks like boss racing is trying to get into the 250r case market

Would this be Boss ATV Racing?
