Last minute I decided to go out to DBMX for the start of their night racing series. Seven quads showed up, 6 in expert and me in intermediate so I raced expert. I got last but kept up pretty well. The promoter put quads as the last moto so I only raced the first and then left. I didn't see any point in waiting around for four more hours to get my ass handed to me again. For the people that watched my other videos, you'll notice the track was cut in about half because of lighting so that also added to my wanting to leave with one minute lap times. Some of the highlights would be that my CCP stabilizer worked awesome and really improved my riding. I know everyone says this but I can't believe I didn't get one until now. After practice I made an adjustment and it was perfect, stays so straight in the woops and at high speeds now instead of wanting to wander around. The other highlight would be the power wheelie from 2nd to 3rd gear going up to the jump just after the start on lap 3. So all in all I had fun for the time I was there and got to see how I stack up against some real expert riders as well as fine tune the CCP.

Thanks, I know there were a couple times I could have just knocked him out of the corner but I decided to back off and tap his rear tire lol. I need to remember not to follow and take different lines but the bad start didn't help too much either.

Nice run!  Man I hate hearing those 4 stroke turds on the track.  I liked it sooo much better back in the day hearing all the different exhausts on the 250r's.  Looks like you have some very nice tracks to run on Zak.  I don't think there are too many like that in my area...especially anymore.

Thanks Jeremy. Ya I know, hopefully I'll see another R at a track sometime so I can compare. I also hate the sound of those 4 strokes. I wonder why there aren't many tracks up that way anymore. Too cold?

Way to get in there and mix it up Zak! Quad sounds good, jumpin looks good. I don't blame you in the waiting. I have been to a few races myself where moto 1 and 2 are 4-5 hours apart. I don't want to race at 11pm. Lol. We need to meet up at I-40 and see if we can't drown out the sound of those 4 strokes! Lol

Thanks Ryan. If the track was farther I probably would have stayed but it's only an hour tops. I'm definitely down to go to I40. I've been wanting to go down there this whole year but haven't committed yet. Let me know when you can and I'll see what I can do. I think they race every Saturday night so that shouldn't be too hard to coordinate lol.

Over the last ten years quad racing has died alot in Wisconsin imo.  We even had a couple of our own quad only racing series but not anymore that I know of.  It's funny cuz at the district ama races they always wanted us to practice and dry out the track when it was wet.  We were always treated like crap as compared to the bike guys but everyone sure ran to the fence when us quad riders got to the line.

That seems to be a trend going on a lot now. "Nuke the quads" I've heard so many times and then we put down faster lap times than the bikes, doesn't make sense to me. The best racing all night at DBMX was the quads lol. I have no problem with bikes but I have a problem with their attitude. We are all there to do the same thing, RIDE.

They don't like us cause we flatten out their big ruts in the corners..aka training wheels.

A lot of the better dirtbike riders respect quad riders. Its mostly the little asshat kids who think that they are the best thing on two wheels, Got the PC/Monster/Kawi replica bike and then can barely even ride a lap, rolling every double etc. Those are the kids I always see saying nuke the quads lol...

O I know that Ryan and I get that but if the tracks were smart they would run the quads first and then all of the bikes. Problem solved. Ya I hear you 89. Hopefully this weekend we will run earlier so I don't have to hear them complain.

You are exactly right Zak. That is what they do at I-40 mx track. They run the quads first and then run them last, both in the first moto. So the bikes run the 2nd moto completely without quads. And they will re groom the track after the 1st moto. That way the biker girls can run with their training wheels.
