How much lighter can I get my stock frame. No tabs have been cut. I have all the light bolt ons. Didn't really want to go to a drag frame but might have to

What kind of engine is going in it? Making a stock frame lighter isnt going to make you faster

since when does descreasing the weight not eqaul going faster ?   on that same note, shaving off a couple tabs probly wont do anything but waste your time. jumping into a dedicated drag chassis should significantly reduce the overall bike weight which would certainly eqaul going faster
to much power is almost enough

Im saying I wouldnt waste my time trying to shave weight off a stock chassis. How much weight do you think your going to shave off? might as well ride naked and take some exlax the night before a race lol. My LSR hillshooter (stock style) frame weighs 8lbs less than a 88 i had. My LRD weighs 13lbs less. If you have a full blown drag engine your not going to be using it for anything else other than drag racing. Now Kyle if i remember correct Custom Seats old frame was a 450R and it was already shaved which should be good for now but you should be thinking about going to a rigid in the future if your that serious.

Stock frame Banshees are running 3.50s. So yes you can modify a stock frame and still go fast.

So what is the advantage of a aftermarket drag frame?

We all know the answer to that. But the way you talked, you couldn't go fast without a drag frame.

im assuming youve removed everything but the bare essentials ?  front brakes should be gone. oem shocks should be gone.  oem swing arm, axle, a-arms. all the shit is probly real heavy. get rid of it
to much power is almost enough

Jus lighten the stk frame and chk the lbs.  I like stk frames for drag racing. Are u setting this up rigid fo track or suspended fo dunes?

Dune bike john. It was at the hq ride. It was the white one with white 89 plastic.i was going to do a sub frame and cut the stock tabs off it that's a lot of work if it doesn't help much

Anything u can do to make it light is good.  Power to weight ratio is a big factor.  I do things to save ounces.

I just don't know how much weight I'll be able to actually save on the Honda. It's not like I can cut a bunch out like on a banshee frame.
