TORN Round 11, Cash, TX - 11/20/16

So this last weekends race was a success for me. Grabbed 4th on the holeshot and worked my way up to first at the start of the 2nd lap. 5 laps later I went home with the win and the overall points championship for Over 30 this year. Super stoked! First championship win for me ever. Got 2nd a couple times but never the top spot. All aboard my '87 R with an ESR310PV motor and stock bottom end still. Needless to say it will get a freshening up this winter. Long overdue. I've got 2 seasons on that top end and still pulling strong as ever! I attached the vid if anyone wants to do some couch racing. Should provide somewhat entertaining. Not much action after that. Just stayed out front for the next 4 laps. Had a small tussle around lap 3 but nothing worth sitting through 60 minutes of racing to watch.
On a side note; TORN had debated axing the quad program for 2017. Their turnout this year has not been very good. Aside from Open B, C and Over 30 class, the others only had just a few quads. So he had a number in mind to meet this race to dictate next years program and we surpassed it but a bunch! The quads came out to play so TORN will be running them again for the 2017 season.
