Trx250r vs Raptor 700....what are the odds of me winning

One of my friends went and bought a 08 700 Raptor all stock except a k&n filter. My other friend that rode it says I don't stand a chance in a drag race and I told him they might be surprised in what My little R can do.Lmao Not really a "fair" race comparing the CC difference,just saying. But I think if I get the Holeshot I could stay ahead enuff to win through 300ft. What do y'all think?

As long as you can maintain traction it should be a close race. Don't know much about the differences in the raptors but I got about the same engine combo as you & can smoke a stock 660 in the sand no problem.

A lot of it is going to come down to rider and weights as well.

just race him through the trails or on a mx track; he wont stand a chance.  i feel a raptor is a novelty and not a race machine.

Stock for stock hes going to beat you in a drag race all things equal.  Your making a little more power than stock but not alot.  The 700 is a quick machine.

Rider is 70% of the battle, if you can handle yourself and hes a squid, youll take him.  But given equal riders my money is on the 700.

First and foremost, I prefer my R over my raptor 700. The raptor 700 handles way better than the raptor 660. Raptor 660 is worse than a banshee. The 700 is very close to a yfz, they share the same front suspension. The raptor is also 1/2"-1" taller than the yfz, so not much different. Now the trx250R is a far superior machine as far as handling goes and I will choose to ride mine over my raptor 10 times out of 10. The raptor comes stock with almost 40 HP and a ton of torque. If you can beat the raptor off the line and don't miss a shift it will be close, but the raptor will run you down. As I said before, the 250r wins no matter what!

The 700 is no joke. Those things make some serious power and torque. Even bone stock you rarely have to go below 3rd gear. They might be big and heavy but they're infinitely better than the 660 Raptors of old. You'll probably lose the race unless the 700 rider is inept
