throttle cable route
« on: July 10, 2020, 01:00:33 AM »
i rode my 250r for the 2nd time after the rebuild and i realised that at idle that if i turn my handelbars to the left it idles down and if i turn them to the right it idles up and if they're straight then it idles fine. and i have no idea why this is happening. it dosent effect riding or if im off idle but just if im sitting there turning my bars it will idle up and down. any ideas? i can take pictures tomorrow

If you have a manual you can flip through it & look at the pictures & see how all the cables & hoses were ran from the factory. Don't just look at the section on carbs to find the routing for the throttle cable, the best pic might be in a different section. I did this just the other day looking to see what side of the right upright the coolant overflow line was on before it goes into the radiator. Found a pic with a clear view of it in the body section..... If your running a Keihin PWK series carb with a stock thumb throttle the correct cable for that setup is Motion Pro 01-0604.
