Kickstart, shifter and brake OEM finish

Does anyone know what the finish is on the pedal, shifter and kickstart? I’ve seen them painted but the factory finish doesn’t look like paint at all and certainly isn’t black. Thanks in advance!

Black oxide isn't corrosion resistant but the oem black parts are corrosion resistant when new so my guess is it's black zinc with maybe a dichromate top coat.

I have the caswell black oxide but it’s def not corrosion resistant, I was thinking it was something like the old gold cad but not gold, I’ll do some looking to see if I can find a place to get it done.
