I think he said something about these use regular head gaskets.  guess the oring heads dont seal real well ?   Otherwise I can only imagine minimal gains with a change in the head chamber geometry

The benefit of using a head gasket in some of the 2 piece head designs is the coolant flow is focused toward the exhaust side like on an OEM head. I have a pro design cool head that uses a gasket.

I use oem heads machined by Pete that have o'rings with zero leakage nor any over heating. Do o'ring cool heads have issues? Why would the DMR head have issues? I personally like o'rings over gaskets because they can be reused unlike gaskets.

I have reused head gaskets in a pinch with success using copper seal
88 hybrid 431 puma
88 (BOF Build) stock motor and oem 89 plastics
