The clutch lever looked in great shape, the pocket wasnt even discolored. the lifter rod def had finish removed on both ends, didnt think about it getting worn down. Hopefully previous owner wasnt foolish enough to use the old pressure plate when they put in the 89 update. I didnt even think to check that.
For now I added a second thrust washer and its a little better. Was hoping to take it for a test ride, but its raining...
Seems to be an issue on all Rs that the clutch cable is towards the end of the cable adjustment on the clamp by the cylinder.
