Say hello to my XC bottom.  It’s a Kody Schorr built engine with his full billet tranny.

I’m in no hurry and there’s no timeline but this bad boy will sing someday.

« on: September 05, 2015, 10:00:11 PM »
Feeling confident because the Walsh boys took my deposit and posted a pic of the start of a 250r frame.  This will be a purpose built XC width 250r from Walsh.  There will be some use of the TRX450 components like 04/5 spindles, 450 F/R brakes, 450 rear pedal and rezzy, 450 axle carrier and axle, and hopefully 450 standard peg mounts (fingers crossed).  The frame should be coming together this month and hopefully in my hands not to long after....

Starting Point:
Frame - WALSH xc Narrow cr500 link
Swinger - WALSH cr500 link trx450 carrier
Stem - Walsh sr +1h and 3/4f
Arms - Walsh +2.5 XC sr series for 04/05 trx450r spindles
Engine - Duncan 275

Suspension and Chassis / CRF450 Link Work?
« on: July 13, 2015, 01:33:39 AM »
Has anyone compared the CRF450 or 250 linkage or any other brand MX linkage to the 91-3 CR500 linkage. Just wondering how different they are or if it's a stretch to move the CR link swinger to a more current setup.

For sale.... Located in Pittsburgh, PA
1) SOLD Arens Bros XC frame/sub $1,250 not shipping. Will drive up to 100 miles if that what the deal takes. Inspected by JB racing before powder coated Rail Red. Zero repairs. This is the TIG welded version. Has a brand new Honda bearing and seal installed....just the frame and sub. Removed Roll stuff - just the frame for sale.
2 & 3 Price shipped from Pittsburgh
2) SOLD - Baldwin hubs - Send to Race Reflections and you will have something amazing. I'm being lazy - they are not pitted or anything, just dirty. The bearings will eventually need replaced but are fine as is. These use stock Honda bearings. Two on the outside and one inner. Have the complete bearing rebuild kit from Baldwin $75 if you want it.
3) SOLD - Complete harness, cdi, coil assembly $175. Can't remember year maybe 88 but NOT 89. Ultra low hour 85-88 Stator and Flywheel $150 - S&F is mint imho - lol I know how we all like to classify and argue over what mint means! $300 package deal...

Wanted / OEM & Hondaline 88/9 front bumpers and grab bar
« on: August 10, 2014, 08:21:24 AM »
WANTED - send me a pm or text 7244540764 include pic and price shipped to zip 15146. Thanks, bob
1) 88/89 OEM bumper & grab bar.
2) HRC Hondaline front bumper.
They have to be free of any defects that will show up when repainted. The paint can look like crap as long as the part is dent, gouge, damage free.

Suspension and Chassis / RPM mx axle measurement needed
« on: June 20, 2014, 10:30:52 PM »
Can someone measure their RPM mx axle at the narrowest setting with 250r hubs installed.  I'd like to know how wide it is from outside edge hub to hub.  Just want to make sure it is indeed only 1" over stock at the narrow setting.

Does anyone happen to know the width of a 400EX OEM axle Outside hub to hub?

Thanks, Bob

Nac Hubs - 89 style missing two of the small allen screws.  Bearings are tight but not sure how much life is left in them. $175 shipped.

Update - Sale Pending as of 6/17.

Prefer to sell complete.  It runs good and idles forever...could use some fine tuning IMO to get it humming across the entire RPM range.  I'll probably end up parting it but figured I'll try to move it whole first - $6,000.  I deliver up to 200 miles.  You can always throw me a number....it also comes with an extra set of 87 cases and a long rod OEM crank in perfect condition.

Wanted / WTD/Trade your Axis 15 3/4" my Axis 19 3/4"
« on: June 08, 2014, 07:39:55 PM »
Looking for a shorter set of Axis shocks for my Roll XC front end.  Not the best picture but I put the LT Axis next to the PEP standard lengths so you can see they are 19 3/4".  The tape makes them look longer (bad pic).  I need 16 3/4" for my Roll XC arms.  You will need to get them refreshed for your weight/setup but they are nice shocks.  I'm open to buying your shocks outright but prefer to find someone who has a set of Axis and would like to swap or trade.

15
The price to convert and setup my OEM as a PEP is around $450.  My guess is another $350 to $400 gets me a brand new PEP rear.  Who's been down this road?  I have Axis for the most part, and they seem like a better priced suspension, but I'd like to run PEPs on the bike I'm currently building.  I'd have Baldwin do the PEP setup being that they're next door and Mark has a ton of R background.

Thanks, Bob
