Re: 23" tall front tires Created an account just so I could answer this cause I get asked about this all the time at the dunes.

I run a 23.5” Goldspeed sand tire in the front and 21x11x8 rear. I highly recommend the taller front tires! Was one of the best things I did for my dune setup. The dunes get so torn up by the side by sides now so it’s nice having the extra clearance running taller tires, plus they’re smoother cause they kinda just monster truck over all the chop!

Another AZ guy Hey guys, I’m from AZ and I’ve been lurking on this forum for years now but I’ll be more active on here. I’ve been around 250r’s my whole life and I think I have some good things to contribute. I’m pretty active on the 250r Facebook groups as well.

I have an 88 that I’ve spent the last few years building, it’s set up to kind of be a jack of all trades cause I ride glamis, the the local tracks and the desert. I also just picked up a junky 86 that I’ll be bringing back to life. I’ll post build threads if y’all are interested in either of them.

Oh and what you really care about, pictures…!

Re: Exhaust Hangers
I personally would use speaker wire before I bought anything from bdt, but to each their own...

Re: Just run it? Personally, I would send it out and have it set up. Not that Eddie’s porting is BAD, but it does leave a lot on the table. I feel like if you rush to get it together you’re gonna wish you hadn’t and you’ll be pulling it apart again to send the cylinder out anyway.

My first choice would always be Jerry Hall or Pete at Hybrid Engineering. Not sure how far out they are but I think it will be worth the wait either way.

I will also note though, whoever ports your cylinder is going to want you to run specific components along with it. So I wouldn’t be hell bent on running the Selvy pipe. If you can find someone that can work with the selvy pipe then great. But you’re wasting your time if you won’t run the pipe or the other components that the builder suggests to go with their porting. Everything has to work together.

DMG Bumper Hey guys, figured I’d share some pics of my bumper that just got finished last week. Fabricated by a local guy to me named Brandon from DMG Autosport. This one got polished tubes along with his special weld process to really bring out the heat marks, skid plate tabs and then clear coated.

The pictures don’t even do justice to how beautiful this thing is in your hands.
