Lounge / Supercross

Anyone happy about the return of supercross? Its one of the few things I watch on tv. Interesting dynamics coming into play with the extended break and fast schedule for the remaining races.

Lounge / oxy acetylene
« on: May 09, 2020, 09:06:11 PM »
Any welding pros out there? I need to cut out a hardened steel pin. It's 1.5" x7". If I cut it radially I have about an 8mm gap. cutting on axis I have a clear shot, but it's 7" of material to cut through and there is danger of cutting through parts I need to keep.

Looking at using oxy acetylene but I am not sure of the different torches and types of regulators. Any concerns with buying used? Suggestions are appreciated.

I keep seeing stories about MotoGP and F1 possibly moving towards 2 stroke motors by 2025. Either that or electric.

Would be awesome, but I won't hold my breath

Suspension and Chassis / Lobo chassis question
« on: October 10, 2015, 12:38:33 PM »
Looking for a little help on a Lobo chassis. Was hoping someone with one could measure the width of the top pivot on the rear shock. Also the overall shock length. I am a few thousand miles away from mine and looking at buying a used no link rear shock. I remember the Roll uses a fairly small pivot width. I want to say it a inch or so, not sure on the length.

Thanks in advance

LED Performance / LED Intake and 350G pipe on a Lobo Frame
« on: August 22, 2014, 12:08:57 AM »
There was some interest in how the LED intake fit the Roll Design Lobo frame. I thought I would share some pictures.

Plenty of clearance around the plastics (old Fullbore), frame and head-to-pump coolant hose. I did end up running a different coolant hose that runs from the pump to the radiator. There are some frame supports that push the stock hose too close to the pipe. It is a Gates hose Part# 19707. Had to do a little trimming, but it fit well.

There might be a better hose out there, but this was available at the auto parts store...and, come hell or high water, I was going riding the next day. The crude exhaust bracket was my own design, as Roll failed to design a frame with an exhaust mount. I had to run this bracket back to the gas tank mount. I'll have LED fab me up something soon.

Here is the Intake. LED does make a few different ones. This one is specific to the Lobo chassis. It is tight, but there is clearance from the shock being fully extended to bottomed out. I am going to see about getting an air box made.

If you would like to see any specifics, let me know.

Best Regards
-Jason
