Redline motorcycle 80w gear oil with shock proof.I use the same in the R
i finally received the carb and it is rich, extremely rich, however it will not really rev out. i am now believing that john tabata is correct. I just need to admit the old woods set-up from the 90s is very limiting.LMK if you need any help
my new approach is: 2 carbs and 2 pipes.
Redline motorcycle gear oil. It's good quality stuff it's been in stock trans, no gear noise. I talked to Arlan, he hasn't noticed it on the dyno but with ear plugs/muffs on and all kinds of tire noise etc, it would probably be hard to detect any gear noise.I use nothing but Redline products. What one are you using in trans?
I am going to run and see what happens, and like I said in the beginning, this is not a bash post I'm glad someone is willing to make parts for a 30+ year old machine to keep them running. Without them, we wouldn't be riding them any longer. I'm sure with the thick heavy shift forks, along with the completely new gear set, there's going to be a break in period.
Fore sure!! John any thoughts on running gold anodized wheels?
billet piston? also, nice to see you know your toolboxes. kennedy is the only toolbox.
custom TRX 500 piston for me
