On the front plastic the lower mount they give u Little L brackets but I think something would come off the frame to attach it to

Got my new maier plastics but I think I'm missing a mount that goes to the frame for the bottom of the fender. Does anyone kno of this I'll try to get a picture

The mounts on my 88 250r shroud keep breaking.  Ive tried to weld them a few times but usually break again shortly after.

Ive seen the mounts on eBay for 86s for like $20.  Will these work on my 88 style?

Yea it is the stock carb I'm around 2000 above

Looking for some advice on my jetting.  I pulled the carb and checked jets.  I have a 150 main and 50 pilot jet.  

The issue I'm having is it seems like off low end 1/4 to half throttle i have a little stumble and then it takes off.  I kno this is two-stroke but it seems like it should be smoother.  

The bike starts great when cold first kick with the choke on and no throttle, and idles well.

I did notice i have a little leak on the front two piece exhaust and need to seal that, also when i ride for a few minutes and shut if off gas sometimes comes out of the drain on the bowl.  What could this mean?

The bike is 1988 with 86 motor.  Stock motor FMF pipe and silencer, stock filter with one inch hole drilled, running 40:1 klotz oil.  150 main and 50 pilot

I just ordered a hinson basket for my 88 250r.  It has an 86 motor in it.  I got the basket and gears all apart and ready to go back into the new one.  

It says to bevel the edge on the crank gear?  I have no clue what they are talking about can someone help me out?

Been looking for a poly frame skid for my 88 and no one seems to make them anymore but this company.  $70 doesn't seem too bad either.

Ok thx guys I'll start by changing the fluid and try adjusting the clutch some more.

Did these quads have a pretty easy clutch say when they were new. My 05 450r is like butter and this one is not real hard to pull but it's stiffer.

I'm not really sure what's in it. The guy gave me a bottle of it but I can't remember what it is and I'm not around the quad right now.

The clutch is adjusted right and I checked the cable when I had it off it moved nice and free.

I noticed this when I first got the quad.  I just put new asv lever on and the clutch cable is adjusted right.  Is it something internal?

Well I just ordered the fmf pipe that was posted above. I'm having some trouble with the mounting.

It appears im missing an exhaust hanger on the front part of the silencer and where the fatty pipe looks to mount to the motor mount is off?

Trying to find some guards.  I have texeira tech sprocket guard and a gt thunder on my 450r.  Texeira tech lists a sprocket guard for a 250r but I'm having a hard time finding a rotor guard similar to the gt thunder I have on my 450.

Ok thx guys I see what your saying now with the plate.  As far as the jetting is concerned, does that seem about normal.  The quad actually ran very well even with hacked up exhaust that was on it but it did not idle.

Thx transmatic i will do that:)  I read up a little and it seemed the 88 style was the better of the two with the motor.  Sux it's an 86 but it still runs good.  

I've loved these quads since i was a kid watching old school huevos movies haha.  Im sure I will have many more questions thx!!!
