Luckily a few stations here in Louisiana sell ethanol free gas but none of it is higher then 89 octane.

Castor 927 is all I have ever run in my two strokes and I have never had a problem with it and I always run a 40:1 ratio.

Yes Jason, I always liked the 1st gen 400ex body style. I don't know why, but for me, when they gave it the 1st gen 450r body it kind of ruined it for me....

This EX is solid... It was recently overhauled by a reputable shop in my area. Runs great and isn't beat at all... Real happy with it!

I agree about the first gen body style being the best although I did like the 07 body style that mine had and the reverse helped me a few times. The current styling is uglier then sin in my opinion. I miss mine but do like my 250r more cause it fits my riding style better, the EX was too tame.

I would pick up something like this if I was using a bench top polisher.  Instead of mothers. I use mothers for maintenance polishing.

I worked for a company here in Oregon that made these types of polishes, the stuff does wonders when polishing metal! You would be surprised how easy it is to make yourself. The only tools needed is a crackpot and something to mix the material.

I just bought a full new set of fenders, head andradiator shrouds for my ATC 250r and I think the quality is really good! I would definitely buy another set if I had too!

You have gotta be kidding me! I was born and raised in Louisiana, moved to Oregon and will be moving back at the end of the month. One thing I was looking forward to doing was taking my 250r down to LA Dunes! Man that sucks!

Thanks! I also forgot about adding the Clarke gas tank to the list of stuff I added and that my screen name on 3WW is yamaha225dr. I didn't carry that name over to here cause it doesn't match my 250r. lol I created that account a long time ago when I had a Yamaha 225dr.

I'm sure a few of you will recognize me from 3WW, just that I have a different screen name here. I bought a 1985 Honda 250r back in February and added all new white Maier fenders, headlight shroud, and put on black wheels, it came with an FMF exhaust and I added a 38mm carburetor. The engine is still bone stock right down to the original bore.
