Ignition / Re: 00-01 CR250 Ignition Service Manual

Anyone still have this manual? No link showing for me. Guessing because thread is so old. Thx

Re-uploaded.

Not quite your run of the mill drilled bolt with a grease zerk. The only part that is 12mm is the threaded portion, the rest is 13.9mm to fit tightly with the bushings as mentioned earlier. Below shows the bolts, ATC on the left and TRX on the right with the ATC being 1mm smaller nominal diameter where the bushings ride. Anytime someone takes the time to reverse engineer and produce parts that are NLA from Honda is a great thing, good work!

The ATC shock linkage bolts (85 and 86) are 1mm smaller than the TRX bolts, hence the TRX linkage bushing kit wont work on an ATC. What I did on my 85 was use the 86 TRX linkage and bolt and enlarge the lower shock clevis hole to fit the larger bolt.

The Mad Scientist / I had an idea

Wow I didn't think anybody else was interested in this, seems the trend with aftermarket cylinders has been towards non-powervalve for the most part.

I've actually been working on this for a while now not but not within almost a year now as there have been other priorities, projects, children etc. taking precious R&D time.

But here is what I have so far, I'm using an aftermarket programmable DC-CDI with integrated powervalve controller. This allows full customization of the ignition maps, PV maps, TPS input, rev limiter, power jet solenoid... you can even mount a switch on the bars to toggle different ignition/PV maps (think holeshot setting...) pretty cool stuff!

Wish I had more time to finish and test, hopefully someday I'll have a ride report.

Suspension and Chassis / Roll Design Bumpsteer Issue
« on: October 13, 2015, 06:05:06 PM »
I got roughly the same measurements on a set of +3 Roll Lobo II arms

Quote from: Allison#51;59724

Upper is roughly 12" from center of the front bolt to the end

Lower is roughly 16" from center of the bolt too the edge of the spherical bearing cup. And the tie rods are pretty close to equal lengths.

Just wait until the pro-flowed version is released that is made in the same factory as the original and comes in a sandwich bag.
