Carburetor, Intake, and Exhaust / CR250 38mm Mikuni TMX

What year carb do you have? I have ran an 01 and 02 carbs. I kept the needle that came in them and on the 01, I changed the nozzle to an S8.

Mine had the S9 needle jet in it so Im assuming its a 01. I have already changed it to the S8 and it made a big difference. I just happened to notice on the pro circuit jetting guide for the cr250 they recommended the 6BEY30-74 Needle. Mine had the -73 needle in it so I ordered the -74 and am waiting for it to come in. I also noticed pro circuit recommended a 32.5 Pilot jet which seems kinda big to me ESR sends them out with a 25.

Bump for new interest.

Im in the process of setting up one of these. I noticed on pro circuits jetting guide for the CR250 they recommended a different needle as well as a 32.5 Pilot jet. Did you install those in your carb as well?

Chad we are going to Lil Sahara in October.

hmmmm that sure is tempting. Only thing holding me back would be the fact that my daily driver is a 77 gmc with a 6 inch lift and 35's. Not exactly the best truck for a cross country trip. But maybe I could hitch a ride with somebody out here....

Thanks man! My family owns a sand and gravel company and alot of land so Ive been blessed with plenty of good riding spots. One of these days I'm pack up and head west to see what the dunes are all about, too many rocks out here on the east coast!

Figured I'd sign up here and see how things look and I must say I'm impressed! The chat box is a nice touch! Looks like it growing fast too which is awesome. Anyway I'm 29 from western mass, love the R, watched too much huevos when I was younger and built my quad to somewhat be a replica of the old nacs bikes.
