OK got ti, it ended up being the clutch lever arm. I only used one thrust washer at the pressure plate, the 400ex spacer and the cr500 springs, it works great and the lever pulls WAY easier. Thanks for the help guys, appreciated.

So its got to be the shaft or the actuator. Is the vertical shaft that the cable attaches to should that have play in it? It moves almost a quarter inch back forth.

OK thanks going to try that today. Has to either be the fibers are worn or something with the shaft/rod.........theres not to many other things. I appreciate your help.....thanks. Ill post up later tonight what I find out have a few appointments today.

I have seven fibers and 6 plates, one of which is 400ex , its .50 thicker then the 250r's so that should have made the pack tighter.

ok thanks, mine is 8" also, miss typed.

What could have been done to make the pressure plate thrust washer create to much space in my clutch pack?

I removed the center clutch and there was a thrust washer behind it but it looked a little grooved, probably should be because the pressure plate was also but Ill post a couple pics to just make sure.

Im thinking its missing the thrust washer behind the basket, going to take it apart and see if its in.

ok this is the washer.

Now going back when I first took the clutch apart that washer was not in the correct spot, it was on the wrong side of the pressure plate/shaft. Now when I add the washer it creates a space in my clutch pack, I take it out and its tight. So I guess this is why the guy who built it had the washer just free floating.

Any ideas on why the washer would create this space? Im going to check the thickness on my fibers, not sure if they are the reason.

Excellent. Yes it does have a groove, thought that was there because it wasnt together correctly the first time. Thanks!

Also the extra thrust washer goes between the needle bearing and the pressure plate? I think it would make sense to have the bearing up against the pressure plate?
