@BOREoffroad

Any update on the decompression release?

Is sure like to get one done for a sphynx cylinder.  I wonder if CPI is working on anything?   I’ll have to make a call

Joe

I have been out of the game for the past year due to health issues. So where it was left off is moving it toward the intake side for a cleaner look and so you can pull choke and release from same general area. But no progress has been made, doesn't seem to be very much demand for the change. On the test engine it worked very well, on most of the in head releases I have seen it leaves a weird burnt spot on the piston in the squish area that I don't like, even though it doesn't seem to hurt anything.

So this goes in through the side of the sleeve? Seems like it is well below the combustion chamber.
It is, the concept in how they function are the same, bleeding off "xx" amount of volume before TDC, lowering the overall cranking compression while open.

I think it’s a great idea/option.

Is anyone adding a decompression release to an existing CP cylinder?  I have a Sphinx that I’d like to add a release.

Joe

I know a couple people that have cut into the cylinders and welded up an area for their personal use. But no one that I know of is offering it as a service.

Looking for some feedback on this idea.
This modification has been in the works with CPI to have a boss cast into the cylinder.
This improved compression release design allows for easier access and eliminates the need for a special head.
The cylinder pictured is a first test so its not centered and looks a little off.
If this is a desirable modification that people would like to have, the plan is to move it towards the intake for optimal clearance and access to choke and release in same area.

That is a fair price.

Thanks

To me, figuring out pricing is one of the hardest things to do as a business. Because on one hand I am an enthusiast like everyone else and think to myself "would I buy this or that for $xxx price?", but on the other hand I value my time and want to stay in business. My goal is to put out as high quality products as my ability allows, at the lowest price I can afford to.

There are quite a few more products in the works that will be coming out this year and next that are unlike anything else available, there's a few big names in the industry that are aware or have been involved with the refinements over the past 5-6 years. This radiator was kind of a byproduct of that R&D.

Very nice!

@hickwheeler - this is what you and Tim are both running on your Pumas?
No we have the afco dual pass radiator. His setup looks interesting. I haven't seen I price for his setup

$550 With shrouds. $495 without. + shipping of course.

Beautiful work!

Thank you. I went to great lengths, 4-5 different core designs, 8+ different tank designs to make it fit and function to the best of my ability.

If anyone has any questions or constructive criticism please feel free to chime in.

Hi all,
Just wanted to post up some pictures and details on my new radiator design. Most of the pictures are customer submitted.

Notched for extra steering stem clearance. 1/8" NPT air bleed plug can double as a temp sensor bung. 3" thick, internally baffled triple pass design so there's no unsightly external weld seems on tanks. Outlet moved inward 1-7/8" from edge to increase pipe clearance. Available with or without integrated shrouds. 100% Made in USA.

I'll be the first to admit that the radiator is overkill for most builds, it started out as being a one off build to help cool our 500cc+ shop engines during R&D stress testing and was never intended to be released, but after having great results and pressure from a few people that knew about them and wanted one for themselves, I have decided to make them available on a built to order basis.
