Good to know I do have an Aluminum Radiator.....to replace the stock one.

As soon as I can get the 370cc Cylinder from Eddie @ ESR I'll be driving it down to Pete.
I'm going to try my best to be able to have it finished up for this coming season of riding. Our first trip is usually at the end of March.
I'm sure it wont be 100% completed by then but I would love to have the motor at least done and hopefully dyno tuned.
It is a lot to ask between now and then but that is what I am shooting for. There are a few parts that aren't exactly cheap though.
I think besides the obvious cylinder and case work, the Exhaust and the CR Ignition are going to be the bigger expenses I think.
Then it will be the basics like a high flow water pump, clutch basket and clutch, and a few other goodies.
I wont lie I haven't been this excited to start a build in a long time!!

So after talking with Pete for a while once I can get my hands on a ESR 370 Engine Builder Cylinder kit I'm going to have him build me a 391cc. He said for the $ it is the route that he would go for cylinders. I'm going to order up a 4mil Stroker Crank this week and then basically just waiting until Eddie gets caught up and can make me a cylinder.

Eddie said he is a little behind on stuff but Pete said give him a few weeks and he should be able to produce a cylinder. Most likely going to put my YFZ 450 up for sale now as that was just a temporary ride until I could find a good 250R. Granted I pretty much built that thing more than I really needed to. So instead of a 50hp 4 stroke I should have in the neighborhood of 75-80+ hp out of the 391.

I'll be running a 40.5 PWK carb and a LED 350G exhaust. So I'm hoping to be in the mid to upper 70s for HP.

I can't wait to get this build moving along!!

Pete is a really good guy to work with. He takes pride in his work and will tell you straight up what works and what doesn't. He will also tell you what to not waste money on.

I've been talking with him for the last hour and a half. Just like you're saying he is very informative. He is telling me what is going to work best for what I am looking to do and also telling me what is a waste of money for the build that I want. I am super excited to start getting stuff ordered up and getting it down to him!!!   

Thanks again for giving me his info and letting me know that there is such a good builder here in the PNW!!!

I'm trying to figure out if should end up just ordering up a 350cc kit from ESR and then just sending it out with the cases to Hybrid Engineering now.
Does he do porting work also? I've heard that ESR doesn't exactly do a proper "Porting" more or less just cleans up the ports.
I want to get a nicely ported motor so that it is making some good HP. I also know with a 350 I will need to have the cases done to match the cylinder.

I wish there was some way to get ahold of Hybrid Engineering to get pricing and go over what I am thinking on my motor.
Since you have had a motor done by him do you know of how to contact them?
Washougal is a couple of hours away from my house. So taking him the motor is no issue but I want to be able to talk pricing first.

I just picked the quad up last week from my brother.
It's an 86 with a few things done to it. I got it with Silver Maier Plastics, a Laeger's Anti-Vibe Stem, a set of new extended A-Arms that aren't installed yet, a pipe and silencer which have no markings on, and a basic K&N cone filter in the air box. Oh yeah he also gave me a brand new still sealed in the box Hot Rods complete bottom end kit for it.

I pulled the carb to clean it and check the Reed Cage and noticed that the piston had a crack in the bottom of the skirt.
I already had plans to build it but I figured I'd do the biggest displacement I can where I can still use the Brand New bottom end kit I got.

Yeah I was looking at LED prior because I know the stuff he builds is always good. 
Does Hybrid Engineering have a website or anything? I did a quick search on my phone and it just brings up posts on forums but no website info.
Unless I'm totally over looking it.

I was also looking at the LED/ESR kit too. The ones where Arlen @ LED takes the ESR head and does work on that.
Yeah I just want to make sure that I am happy with the end result of the build.

So I have an 86 TRX250R and I am looking to do a 350cc Big Bore on it.
I am considering the BDT Pro-X w/the BDT Pro Porting & Flow.
I am basically building this for the dunes and would like to have enough power to drag with the boys.

Just curious if any of you guys have ran this set up. I see the Pro-X kits have better reviews than the ESR kits. I am wanting make sure I spend my $ getting the right kit. I've seen that CT sells a kit too but haven't seen much info in comparison to the BDT kit.

What do you guys think?
