The Mad Scientist / Re: Cool key chain for fourtrax 250r guys.

You know what else I was thinking, if you did have an ATC 250R that needed a key ring. It would be the 1987 model, you would be one  lucky owner. So I highly doubt any of these key chains are on ATC 250R s if you know what I mean

Prices are such that I'd consider putting my '86' Hondaline headlite guard up for sale. Red, and in good condition, it should go for big $$$$$$. i really don't like the bubble, but to each their own. I see headlights going for $100.00 and up, and there are so much better options out there.

Oddly enough I don't like the headlight bubble that much either. It's a cool Conversation Piece, I got permission from my local vintage motorcycle show when they have their outdoor shows again I could bring my antique four-wheeler along with all my friends. And I thought putting that bubble on the stock front end, it would be cool to talk about.

I'm not easily offended especially in these times. The two things that do offend me, the two that truly make me feel slighted are:
1) the recent rise in cost of these items. I feel it was started by people who dont care about the sport, now followed by those who know they can get the money for their items.

2) room temperature water. I hate room temperature water.

That's it really.
Someone had one on fb the other day for $4-450. People want crazy money for hondaline stuff.i have an Atc front fenders extender and I saw two on eBay one for $400 and the other $450..pretty silly if you ask me...

Hello every one, I am new to the forum but old to 250r's. After a 10 year hiatus of owning any I just purchased 2 of them this fall to build. After being out of the game for a while I can not believe the prices people are asking for used parts, which inspired me to look back at all the R's i owned and what a gold mine I would be sitting on if I hung onto them

Brother, it seems like they have exploded in value just this past year. I have my 88 and I love it. But now I'm getting scared to ride it because of parts replacement costs.
Honest to God, some of the prices people are asking are downright scary. It bums me out.i mean there are a couple guys who just abuse us enthusiasts. There was a guy who wanted $7,000. For fenders last year. I'm now searching for an 05-07 400 ex to use as my daily rider. I got an offer for 9000 for my 250r. I didnt take it. I will NEVER sell it. I spent 26 years kicking myself for selling my 88 in 1992.

I'm once again trying to bring back stock. On my 88 when I was a kid, I had this white plastic hondaline headlight cover. It was a one piece bubble that covered the headlight.i want remake it. I cant even find a picture of one?
Any of you wonderful fourtrax peeps have a picture of one?
Love you guys
Merry Christmas

I reached out to troy Lee designs because I found a a better base. The guy shut me right down like I was asking to raise the titanic. Total coward. I'm never buying troy Lee stuff again. I hated his response. I bet I've been using troy lee stuff since before he was born.
Coming from an industry that I bend over backwards for my clients every second of every day I just don't get it.

What's up my fellow FourTrax peeps? I'm currently trying to find retro stuff, but I realize now that anything of the age is useless. Most things are deteriorated things like plastic, and especially anything that has to do with fabric,(seat covers or even clothing). I've been trying to track down these Fourtrax pants since 1987 with no luck. Heres my first shot at what I plan on doing with a set of Troy Lee Design pants. I'm not quite sure if I want to do the FourTrax in script ,(like on my 88 seat cover), or in block letters,(like the factory ones), this is my first go at it I'm going to work it out some more on Google Docs but I figure I'll let you know.
Love you guys

Yeah those were the golden years for sure! I was riding on the Northeastern part of the state but ventured over to the Cromwell sand pits a few times. I'd give my left nut to go back for one more day haha

Nice pics, thanks for sharing! I wish I had some pics from back then.

Here is a retro pic from the summer of 1987
I had a motocross track in my back yard in Monroe.
All my machines were Christmas presents from my father. God rest his soul.

Long live the ATC 200x!

Brother I grew up in Connecticut. During the Golden Era 1985 to 1991. Every summer at Newtown dadario's was like an epic all-terrain vehicle event. Each year kids came with the new models. We raced on the railroad tracks to Wolf Park and back. raced down the live Rail road tracks against freight trains rode across Stevenson Dam. we had trail  Network's all over the state from Monroe to Huntington to New Haven. It was epic. And now it's all gone.

Newtown Daddario the most sacred place on Earth to me.

Long live the Newtown D'Addario Posse of 1985 to 1991

Long live the FOURTRAX 250R

In left wing socialist Massachusetts riding a quad is the same as climbing the Berlin wall in 1961. There are a few spots that allow quads, for the tracks that dont, well I hope the get shut down too. I hate quadists.

That's all sorts of fun right there. Looks like a nice track for 4 wheels

It's in Massachusetts 3 and 4 wheel friendly.
