Suspension and Chassis / Re: Fox float shocks
« on: March 13, 2020, 06:19:41 PM »
I have some fox floats gen 2 they are great. They are super easy to adjust the air pressure, way easier then a standard spring shock. You just pump up the main chamber then the evol chamber which is more for bottom out resistance. Not sure how much you weigh but I can give you some PSI settings to start with if you let me know.

Thanks for the help so far Croat1. I tried to contact Steve on instagram with no luck and I don't have a facebook so the only other hope is for him to see this. Also can you drop a link to the bolt I need on ebay? I cant seem to find it.

Suspension and Chassis / Need some help with my cr500 linkage bolts.
« on: April 10, 2019, 07:14:02 PM »
Hey guys was wondering if anyone with a cr500 linkage could help me out with the specific bolt I need that goes through the swingarm and the linkage... The microfiche for a 2001 cr500 shows bolt number 34 (15x202).
The threads are clearly stepped down in diameter from the rest of the bolt and that's what I need but the OEM bolt is 7.95 inches long and I only need a bolt thats 4.5 inches long give or take from what it looks like to me.

For any of the guys with cr500 linkage can you take a look and see what your bolt is like or if anyone knows where I can source one I would really appreciate it!

Body and Controls / What seat is this and what it's value?
« on: August 03, 2016, 08:54:23 PM »
Yea I would agree looks to be 88-89 foam height with a standard gripper seat cover. If I was you I would just put the color seat cover of your choice and keep the foam as long as its in good shape.

This is a comparison photo of Cr500 vs Crf450 linkages I took a few years ago when I was building my quad. The one back one/right side is the cr500 linkage, I cant remember if the CRf fit sorry :/

Pics and Vids / CR500 in a YZ450R chassis

My buddy just did a normal 04 Yfz450 with a banshee motor in it conversion this past month. He just rode it today for the first time and loves it. Says its the fastest quad hes ever ridden cause it weighs nothing has full fox shocks front and rear also.

The more vertical the rear shock the better. This resembles a Cr500 linkage or any modern dirtbike rear shock set up.

Funny Walsh talked a bunch of shit on 250R's not to long ago saying how out dated the geometry and entire machine was... Not to mention they weren't interested in building any 250R frames they were focusing on their new "Hybrid" quads cause that's the future...Guess your money was green enough for them to look over that stuff. Goodluck but I personally wouldn't purchase anything from a company that has no interest in our community.

Cant wait till I can purchase one thanks for all of your hard work!

That "Re-designed" Air boot looks just like a stock yfz450 is that where the idea for the shape came from?
