I'm thinking of putting this up on eBay for 7-10 days and then will probably part it. Any interest in parts?

I thought it was 50 to 250 at 68 degrees. testing the red/black wire coming off the stator to ground

That may be so. My issue was "no spark". I read across the red and black leads coming from the stator. It read 197 ohms. I replaced it with a stator that read 166 ohms and I had spark.

Don't know why my pics are flipped. They weren't like that when I uploaded. If a mod or Admin can fix them that would be great.

UPDATE:
Removed, cleaned & lubricated all the electrical contacts with compressed air & WD40. Including ON/OFF switch. Cleaned some contacts with steel wool. There wasn't anything corroded btw.

Pulled my spark arrester and made sure it was clean.

Again made sure that gas was getting to the carb.

Kicked it a bunch of times.....NOTHING!

What's next????? Want to go riding next weekend!!!:miserable::miserable::miserable:

I just had to replace my stator because of a no spark issue. My broken stator was reading 197ohms. I believe you need to be in the 150-170 ohms range. The good working coil was reading 4ohms. Someone else on here can probably tell you exactly what the stator should read.

Engine and Bottom End / CR250 ignition with Nology coil

Are there any known issues with using a CR250 ignition with an aftermarket coil such as Nology? I like the original igniton system over the CR250. My stator went bad and I had the CR ignition without a coil already so I swapped it out. It works, I'm going through an engine break in with it for the new piston and rings. I just thought I'd ask about before I really ride it. Is there any reason I should use a CR250 coil over the Nology coil I was already using with my original '86 setup?

1987 stock framed FlatTrack rolling chassis.

HAS BEEN SITTING OUT IN THE WEATHER FOR LAST 4 YEARS

The chassis is in good shape, no cracks or repairs I can see. Houser swingarm, Houser stem and clamp. Unknown swaybar and lowering kit. Black plastics in fair to good shape. Seat pan but no seat. Stock radiator and hoses. Unknown shocks stock i think. Unknown aarms in fair shape. Unkown axle. DG nerfs, webbing is pretty rough. Red stock gas tank, Front motor mounts, foot pegs, clutch lever and cable, even a coolant overflow bottle. AC front bumper, AC rear grab bar aluminum radiator scoops  Aluminum wheels hoosier tires. Tires are probably junk. Front calipers are locked up, need rebuilt

$800 local pick up in NW Florida
chassis and Polonda motor from my other Polonda motor thread $1500

Do the cases have to be machined to accept the Polaris top end like they do for the big ESR's? There seemed to be plenty of clearance between the cases and the sleeve skirt on my 350 jug when I put it on there earlier. So I would think the cases have been machined.

Do you have any way to measure the stroke?  Curious if its stock stroke or not.

No. Unfortunately not. I wish I has the tools and knowledge for that. The top end is as far as I get/have gotten into one, with basic shop tools laying around.
