I don’t have any 88/89 gears but what you can do is chamfer the early year gear to clear the basket.

Hello, I am searching for a 88-89 primary gear. According to the instructions for my vortex clutch basket, this specific gear is required for use with the clutch basket on an 86-87 250r. Can anybody help me in finding the appropriate primary gear?

Drag Racing / what size paddle tires?

so 8 paddle 20's might be my best bet.what size wheel 8,9,or10?should i change carbs to?the reason i ask we had a drag race to other day and i was getting out run by a bike are so by some 450's and can am 1000 4x4 I currently have tuff tamers on my R.everybody else was running holeshots and ambush tires.

what size? and what kind of paddles should I get for my 86 stock R? it has a esr trx5 pipe and silencer other than that its stock.the sand i'll be drag racing in is damp sand clay mostly sand than clay and the sand i'll be riding in will be dry like dune sand.

Engine and Bottom End / Stripping a 14mm drain plug help!!

had the same problem last week i went to advance and found a oversize self tapping 14mm drain bolt run it in and out till i got enough threads to hold and then ground the drain plug down till it wouldn't hit the shifter shaft and it works like a charm with no leak.:ride:
