Engine and Bottom End / Filling in exhaust port
« on: August 10, 2014, 10:22:33 AM »
Your best bet will be to get a different cylinder and start over.  I have found that trying to make something work usually will cost you more in the long run and you will end up buying a new cylinder anyway.  If the cylinder does not have a sleeve you can weld the roof of the exhaust port but you would be looking at re-nik and some machine work.  If you have a sleeve it will need to be resleeved.

Duner / Anyone ever use Pro Wedge tires?
« on: April 07, 2014, 10:51:53 PM »
I have friends that run these and love them in the sand.  They are not drag racers, but mostly hill climbers.  The have good ground clearance due to the size.  They also will never dig a hole like paddles will.  With a little bit of wheel spin they always seem to pull up on top of the sand instead of digging down.  I say get them if you want a smooth riding tire that is good for tree shoots and some hard dirt, but not for aggressive riding which includes sliding around.

I have a 2001 cr250 ignition in great shape to get rid of.  This is the last one I own, and if you have looked around for them you know how hard they are to find.  It comes with cdi, stator, flywheel, coil, billet coil mount.  All you will need to complete the ignition is the esr billet stator plate.  $420 shipped to lower 48.

Also have a 2000 cr250 cdi SOLD.

Engine and Bottom End / CR250 ignition with Nology coil
« on: September 15, 2013, 06:21:17 PM »
I have used the nology coil on a about 3 different cr250 ignition and never had a problem.  I did not install the resistor in the wire.  I also ran resistor plugs.  You will like it.  Mount the ground strap to a bare metal spot on the frame.  Make sure you have the 0.3 ohm profire coil.

Yes I have (2) of the 2000 cdi's.  $75 shipped each.

CR250 ignition includes everything you need except the esr stator plate.  I did not know I had these 2 until today.  I know the cdi’s are hard to get.  Cdi’s I have are (2) 2001 cr250, (2) 2000 cr250, and (1) 2000 cr125 cdi.  Whoever buys a ignition can choose which ever cdi they want.  Complete ignition without esr stator plate $400 shipped.(BOTH IGNITIONS SOLD)

Engine and Bottom End / esr370 stoker piston hitting dome
« on: September 02, 2013, 09:09:17 PM »
Phantom you can setup a motor many different ways.  But to get the deck height like yours with a 4mm stroke the cylinder had to have been modified or you are using a different rod.  Show a pic back away viewing the piston where it is and the cylinder bolted down with gaskets and .250 spacer.

You have a 5mm stroke.  I can tell just by looking at the spacer.  Pumashine is right if those are the numbers on your dome you have the wrong dome.

The dome you have is for a 330cc with 4mm stroker crank.
76 stroke (4mm stroke), dome top, 76mm bore,55r is a low end race gas dome.

You will need a new dome from esr.  You could probably have someone cut the dome you have but the cost would be as much as a brand new dome.
