ATC250R / are these 85-86 250r rims
« on: February 04, 2015, 03:54:11 AM »
They look like they are OEM 85 ATC250R rims. If I recall they are HRATA rims. Honda started using Enkai in late 85-86 then went to DID's in  86

I got some of the o rings for my exhaust flange from Onski326 connected to a Paul Turner race pipe. I installed them on my ESR exhaust flange, I used 2 for the pipe side and the thicker of the 3 on the motor side. They fit and sealed nicely. I started the motor and usually I see a little smoke creep out from between the pipe and the flange, with Onski326's o rings it was sealed. I will be getting some hours put on the bike in a month or 2 :( realized after top end rebuild I needed a rod bearing too, I will replace and hope to be in Glamis on presidents day. Let's see how they hold up.

Lounge / ESR Thumb Throttle cover
« on: September 12, 2014, 02:14:18 AM »
I filed the pin off on my thumb throttle and it works fine. I guess you could drill out the cover with a drill bit that is just a hair bigger than the line up pin too, more precision is required tho.

a pm would have sufficed.

True, not right to not give you a chance to make it right before I post. Kind of rubbed me the wrong way, it is what it is.

Sorry to hear your bailing on your build, but wait there's more...

Nice  of you to tell me about the ESR shifter I had listed on Ebay was over  priced at $45, which was a deal for the shifter as they are no longer  available in that style, but to be a gentleman and for a fellow  enthusiast I dropped the price to $40 and free shipping and told you I  did so. No more than 5 mins later you buy it now:

without  even a thanks and now only to see you resell it here less than 2 weeks  later for $50? REALLY? At least have the decency to pass the bargain on  but it appears you're not that kind of guy. It's not about the money, it's about the principal. Courtesy goes a long way, lack of courtesy goes even farther.
Welcome to my blocked list Kevin. :)

PS: You're welcome

Lounge / tether switch help
« on: March 19, 2014, 02:50:33 AM »
I assume the tether is a Pro Design tether but this will work for any kill switch, add and run a jumper wire from the positive coil input up to the wire on your tether that runs to the knob, the other wire on the tether goes into aluminum, this wire should be grounded to the chasis where ever it's convenient. If you connect the coil jumper wire to the wire from the tether that goes into the aluminum, you will be in for a real "shock" if by chance any of your person comes into contact with any of that exposed metal on the tether. This should work.

Engine and Bottom End / kicker problems
« on: March 15, 2014, 03:56:13 AM »

I stretched the spring on my kicker. So far so good. My clutch cover is a ha2. What year is this and is there a washer that goes on the shaft  before I put the cover back on?
If it had a spacer on the kicker shaft between the outer gear and the cover then no washer is need, if no spacer then yes a thrust washer is needed. Hope that helps.
