For Sale - Parts / 38mm a/s bored to 41.5
« on: May 16, 2016, 04:40:15 PM »
decided I'm not going to use this carb, it's a 38mm a/s bored to 41.5. It comes with #7 slide, 55pilot, #185 main, and either a ddj or dgh needle. The small plastic piece that holds the cable end in place isn't going with it and the float valve may leak according to my buddy but his petcock leaks so who knows. Looking for $100 shipped with PayPal gift or $25 and a mint used a.c. xc grab bar

Went with these guys through cranked up gear, shipped right away and arrived fast! The small decal I cut the front off and put it on the rear fender

Can someone tell me is the 38mm as bored to a 41.5mm performs any different from a non as 41.5mm?

7
I wouldn't run anything smaller than 39 on a 350 that's for damn sure

8
350 pro x. I get the fact the extra 1mm will in theory shift the power higher but I'm wondering about the fact it's a air striker and has 4 vents and how the performance differs because of it

9
I now have a 38mm as bored to 1.6300 inches (41.5mm)and am thinking about trying it on my bike over the 40.5mm pwk. I don't know much about modded as besides the fins are gone and it has 2 more vents obviously. 41.5mm vs non modded 40.5mm, thoughts?

Carburetor, Intake, and Exhaust / taper bored 39mm pwk identification

It is called a flow reducing modification under the disguise of improved fuel atomization.  Creating a swirl will cause the fuel to move toward the outer walls of the carb airflow passageway...just the opposite of what needs to happen.  We want the fuel vapors to stay distributed uniformly in the air stream and not try to collect on the walls of the carb and reed boot.
so basically my spare carb most likely is worse off than just the unmodded pwk?
