Good lord thats probably a handful to keep control of.  Mine is a 431 puma on meth by way of Nate McCoy. LRD attitude frame. 1-5 billet override with slingshot. 48 lectron cast bowl.  Did pretty well this past Saturday out there cruising around.

Any details on that turbo build? I've been looking into that with mine after Nate McCoy put a bug in my ear a while back.

Small group of us heading to Waynoka this weekend if anyone happens to be going.  Hopefully the new build holds together.

Suspension and Chassis / LRD Attitude Frame Lower Radiator Mounts
« on: October 25, 2019, 10:16:46 AM »
Curious if anyone has any pic's or information on those?  Frame has a 1" round boss with a counterbore and internal threads so assuming it was a threaded grommet of some sort.  I was planning to buy a stick of 40A polyurethane and turn some little grommets down but if it's something off the shelf that fits well I'd rather go that route.

Any help is appreciated!

If you're in the Kansas area I can have it done for nothing, we do a lot of aluminum square tubing at work.

You may be able to clean the anodize off and fuse weld that crack to get buy or just grind it all and re-weld it, I wonder what filler they used.  It's about impossible to get an aluminum weld to hold in a higher fatigue type application like frames unless it is horribly over designed.  Like Jerry said unless it was a poor weld it's all about fatigue limit and once that number of cycles has been met it's only a matter of time.  I'm doing an lrd attitude build, I hope mine is fairly fresh :/

Wow that made a mess.  Do you know what piston to cylinder clearance it had before the failure and what piston was in it?  Just curious.

Bring up an old thread.  What are they doing to get enough backpressure to really make some boost and how are they doing the fuel setup?  Anyone dig into what it takes running a turbo?

How do the cases look?  Looks like the side case profile lines up pretty well against the cases.  I like the bolts!

I did a +3 6061 and welded 3 cross bars and thru bolt for the dog bone and even it twisted some.  Definitely awesome being aluminum though, they look very nice.

I remember that swingarm it was a work of art.
Well thank you I appreciate that!  Only took a few weeks of design and about 10 hours of machining lol

Hope he didn't get hurt at all but that guy tomahawking after the jump was quite comical.  Crazy riding is the most fun, can't be too afraid to get hurt as long as you don't hurt someone else!

Needle and seat I'd say for sure (which would cause the floats to stick) probably gummed up with oil.
