Sorry I didn’t get back to you last night. Late night. Checked this morning and mine just bolted up and I used washers only. I agree that it would help to use a small thin grommet or O-ring on the back side and I may just do that this weekend. Mine has not cracked or come loose in three years of hard riding though. Love mine.

Try using PEEK. Excellent wear properties and machines better than UHMW, Delrin or Nylon. Can be purchased from McMaster Carr. Check it out, I have used it for many bushings, pump sleeves and works it great.
