Where at in MO?

I'm stationed at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster (about an hour from KC). I'm originally from St Louis though.

My buddy is going to get me some pics on Monday.

Sounds good, thank you!! Just a reminder, I'm deployed right now so I may not be able to buy it right away.

Like over 200 for used and way more for ones still in package.Have any pics of your dads old quad?

I do, but they are back at my house in Missouri. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan. As soon as I get home, I'll let you know when I post them.

My buddy has a few. He has a new one, that one isn't for sale. He has a used one that he will take $200 plus shipping for.

Awesome! I will be in touch with you soon then. Thank you!!! Any pictures?

I can tell they are pretty rare since the only one I've ever seen in person was the one on my dads bike. He loved his and I'm just wanting it to give him back the bike he had to sell. Times were tough and he needed the money.

But when you say it went for a lot, how much is "a lot"?

As far as being made by Maier, I'm just going off of what my dad told me a while back. If it's not by Maier, any thoughts on a different company that might have made it?

They do mount on the stock hood, I do remember that. Granted, I was like 8 when my dad sold it. When I get back to the states, I'll post pictures of his. He had like 3 different ones. He raced the Mickey Thompson circuit back in the late 80's and was number 56. He had a Paul Turner built motor and I'm pretty sure he had a Paul Turner exhaust, but not real sure. I don't want to ask him many questions, because this restore is a surprise for him. But the one that had the nose, was his outdoor play bike.

I'm looking for a set of the original 1986 TRX250R decals. Or can someone point me in the right direction on getting some?

Wanted / WTB: Hondaline Aero hood
« on: June 13, 2014, 07:03:36 PM »
Back in the 80's and early 90's, Hondalina made a nose for the 250R that was a tall, "Cowl" style scoop that mounted on the factory nose called the AERO nose. It would run from the front of the nose up to where the headlight would have been (required headlight removal). I've searched google for pictures, but no luck. But if you know what I'm talking about and have one, I'm interested. I'm currently deployed, so I don't have a phone, but you can message me here.

Lounge / Anybody know a Ricky Tanner?
« on: June 13, 2014, 06:45:47 PM »
I'm trying to find a guy name Ricky Tanner from St Louis, Mo. My dad sold him his '86 250R back in the early 90's and last I heard, he still had it. I'm trying to get in touch with him to see about buying it back from him to surprise my dad with. I'm deployed right now so it's a little hard calling around to track it down. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!

Brett
