Ok I've hit 2 hurdles with my Arens frame, 1st my carbon fiber shrouds don't fit one of the lower holes is a good 15mm off. 2nd does anyone know where the brake lever spring is meant to attach? Pics would be great too

Not sure on the shrouds...I have aluminum. Don't remember how well the install went. But I thought they mounted pretty easily for me.

On the brake spring I went to the hardware store and found something for the length I needed. Their should be a hole on the gusset by the swinger bolt. I can post a pic when I get home tonight if you need.

I used carbon shrouds on mine and yes they were off as well, I think its a combo of the shrouds and the frame

I egged the two lower mounts out with a drill bit, just be careful

And I used an exhaust spring for my rear brake lever, went from the lever forward under the nerf/footpeg mount and attached to the bottom of the nerf bar where the net loops through

its out of the way and you don't see it, have yet to have an issue with it coming off

cheers guys. i dont have the luxury of just egging out the bolt holes on mine, literally the whole tab sits forward of the mounting point. Jason at fourwerx says they fit on the stock frame so i dont know how im gonna get any shroud to fit? and Sam yeah i saw that hole but thought its a strange place for the spring?

mine sat the same way, egg both forward and aft holes its a tight fit but it will work

and yea I wasn't a fan of the pivot bolt area hole for the spring, thats why i went to the nerfs

Maybe not the best...but it works for me. Maybe I'll put a piece of silicone hose over it for rubbing issues.....

sam your brake pedal is different to mine, on mine the spring attaches under the pivot bolt

that's how mine is too vroomy!

attach an exhaust spring to the hole on the brake pedal and pull it under and forward towards the pegs/nerfs

when I had that frame the bolt that held the foot peg on had a small hole drilled in the bottom of it. worked great never had a problem.

Vroomy if I remember correctly the Arens frames use a CR250 brake pedal that could be the issue you are running into, maybe whoever you bought the frame from sent the wrong lever?
