Post a pic of the whole pipe on the quad bud, but to be honest when you put thw lower pipe mount on it's gonna push it out enough for clearance and turn the aarm bolt the other way. Then it should be all good.

I'll try to get a pic of the whole pipe while I'm over there this weekend. If you look at both pics you'll see that I can't go up because of the frame. I can't go forward because of the a-arm bolt. I can't go back because of the nerfbar mount and bolt. The only direction the pipe can move right now is down and that would be pulling it off of the exhaust joint at the cylinder (moving it forward would have the same affect but again, it's not an option anyway). I really think the pipe is sitting where it's supposed to, but the a-arm bolt is longer than it's supposed to be and the nerfbar mount is just a problem for this particular pipe. I'll figure something out.

After an hour with some WD-40 an a green ScotchBrite pad sitting on the kitchen floor while watching the Ohio State game, the pipe looks pretty good. I made it simple and just put a clearance dent in it. Funny thing is, when I went to mark it and put a dent there, I realized there was already a small dent in that area (the smaller dent was the previous one). Now I have to mop the kitchen, lol.

I actually like this pipe more than I thought I would. Sounds great and it seals MUCH better than the Bill's pipe with hardly any effort.

What all you got left to do?

Right now I'm working on the rough spot in the powerband. I had to get the exhaust straightened out just so I could fire it up again and get back to work on that issue because the silencer fell off the Bill's pipe the last time I was riding it. I would have to say my list includes:

1. Engine
---a. top end
---b. carb
---c. cr250 ignition
---d. VForce 3 reeds
2. Front end
---a. TRX450R spindles
---b. TRX450R hubs
---c. TRX450R rotors
---d. TRX450R calipers
---e. Ohlins long travel dual rate shocks off of AJ's quad
---f. a-arms
3. Tires and Wheels
4. White plastic

This stuff isn't in any particular order. I just had it itemized. I still like these Alba 400ex arms and may keep them but there's an issue with camber adjustment being off and I need to talk to Cory at Alba tomorrow to see if he can make me a lower ball joint to fix the problem. If he can, then I'll keep these.

That's quite the list lol

Not really. The TRX450R stuff will happen when I come across someone parting out an 04/05 and can get it all together for around $200. Right now I have the Alba 400ex a-arms and the previous owner put 400ex spindles, hubs, rotors, and calipers on as well. It's all fine except the calipers are actually a downgrade from the 250R because they're single piston. Right now I just need to find out what's causing the thing to run bad and that will change the order in which I buy things. If it's reeds, then I'll get the Vforce 3's. If it's the flywheel, then I'll get the CR250 ignition. Tires, wheels, and plastics are definitely at the bottom of the list.

well get going and figure why it runs bad. Times a wastin'

Dave is giving me some tips on where to start and what to check out even though he's on vacation. Such a great guy! I'm hoping to get back over Tuesday evening and eliminate a few of the simple things first and go from there. If not, I'll definitely tear into it next Saturday and get it figured out.

Work has sucked all week and I haven't made it over so I'm going to try and make it today after work or tomorrow morning. My order of troubleshooting is:

1. plug gap
2. carb adjustments
3. pull carb apart and check jets / internals and check reeds while carb is off

I had the carb apart to clean it but didn't pay attention to the main or pilot jets or where anything was set. I just assumed it was running bad because it was dirty. I should have written the numbers down of what was in there while I had it apart.
