Curious why FMF has a two pipes, one for the 86 and one for 87-89, while most other pipe manufacturers offer just one pipe that spans 86-89.

I don't know, but I just took a FMf off my 86 and it was impossible. Had to remove the exhaust flange to clear

I'll second that. I have a 86 FMF Fatty in a 86 frame on a 88 engine and something is not right. Didn't seem to be as much a fitment issue with my 86 motor. It's in there but tight as all heck. That's what has me curious....
