What's the word on these? Just bought my old r back for $500 and she needs a new cylinder.

How long have these new ones been out? I sold my r this time last year and it was a different cylinder back then. Is anyone running these yet? Any dyno runs? How do they run with there clean up trx9 and not there full port job

The ESR power valve gate valve is wider than the gate valve in the Pro-X or Sphinx cylinders. That is a big improvement. A narrow gate valve compromises the shape of the roof of the exhaust port. I would be nice if even the ESR gate valve was even wider on the 78mm bore cylinders. Ideally the valve would be the full width of the exhaust port and come as close to the ring as possible with out touching.

They have new PV cylinders? Other then what they use to carry? Got a link?

You can tell they are completely different from the ones that where out this time last year and prior. The Pv use to stick up like the one on the main page. Cylinder casting also looks different too.

I am confused. The cylinders pictured on the website look no different other than the Yamaha powervalve cylinder. ESR seems to be manufacturing all cylinders to accept a powervalve, just using a plug in place of the pv.

Same cyl that they have always had. Can get non pv, pv ready and pv. Some tooling changes were made within the last year that cut out the water jacket and the base nut seat.
