Where to get Chrome work done?
« on: February 25, 2014, 10:15:43 AM »
Where is a good place to send a swingarm, stem, and pipe to get chromed for an affordabl price? The stem will definitely need it on next build, but debating having the rest done pending cost.

Thanks guys!

I would look into local shops so you don't have to pay shipping.  Prep/polish is key.  Ask to see some of their finished work.

We dont have anything for local shops...the closest ones i can find are 3 hrs away. shipping is required anyways. I heard the west coast is less expensive due to it being so common over there.

croat1 Joe, that is by far the best price i have seen! I could probably scrape up a few parts to get done(kickers, brake pedals, motor mounts etc). But definitely swingarm and stem. My local prices were
$300 for swingarm or pipe
$75 for stem
at http://www.chrome-worx.com/ in Cadillac MI

I'm going to try some "black chrome" the next time.  I'm not sure on pricing for a pipe.  I bet the stem price would be the same maybe less.  Colin, pm sent.
