just wondering if anyone knows what type of coating is on oem calipers, and does any one have any ideas on how to remove the coating?

Are you looking for an response that's more informative that "just paint"?
I've had it blasted off on a few that have been polished over the years. It's easier to get in all the corners and doesn't tear up the metal like a wire wheel would nor is it as messy as a paint stripper.

i was just wondering if it was a hard anodiesing. (not sure if thats how its spelled)?

Anodize is hard and actually imbeds into the aluminum. Paint just adheres to the outside surface. Paint blasts off easily, anodize does not.
