Hello I am at a loss here, I bought another 86r that has a ct310 cylinder with a bad piston. I have all of that fixed but I think the reason it burnt up was because of a ing problem. I got it put all back together this morning and I checked to see if I had fire before trying to start with the plug out and it did, but had to kick it really hard-fast. So I put the plug in and go to bust it off for the first time and it kicks back like nothing I've ever seen ! I mean had to put a riding boot on. I took the stator cover off and pulled the fly wheel, it is new and the stator and the pick up is, it has a red cdi box on it so I took the cdi box off of my other r that runs good. It still has all of the original elect parts on it, I put that cdi box on it and it does not have any spark with it ? but does not kick back because it is not firing. I assume it is firing to soon or something of that sort causing it to kick back so bad, but I don't understand why it has no fire with the other cdi that I know is good. It does not have a adjustable timing plate and the pick up is in the stock location I even tried the other coil to. Could some one please help me, tell me what to try from here.
