Replacement Gearsets
« on: October 29, 2015, 07:12:35 PM »
As we all know, finding replacement gears are getting harder and harder. There is a limited amount of Yukons NIW out there. LED has a replacement 2nd gear I believe. I've spoke with Nate Mccoy about his billet drag setups, he has none left if you are wondering. I've also spoke with him about doing replacement gears.

Is there any legitimate want/need out there for them. The ones he had made before were Billet Overrides(with a slightly different ratio) which included the drum.
Does anyone want an Override?
Does anyone want a replacement gearset?
No prices have been set and no date has been set. If you have any interest in either you can contact him @ 1-530-476-2222

Rupp250 - I have also heard rumors of a guy working with a NASCAR type company on building new gears.. Again, just a "rumor."

Someone else made the blanks, Bob did the machining. Bob has since sold the business I believe. Interested in where Mark go the info for the gearsets he has in the works?

There will be new gears in the not so distant future folks.  I'm pretty certain that the business deal has been worked out.  They will be every bit as nice and strong as Yukons.  Additionally, I think there may be both main and counter in some cases but not 100% sure.  As you can imagine this is not a cheap investment and a very critical part so lots of work is being doing to ensure perfection as well as a doable price point.  That said, they won't be cheap, but then again Duncan wants $1,000 for a set of 5 Yukons.
