Hey everyone, let's get April started!

Let's get ourselves some beater bikes this month...

Nothing fancy, no crazy custom rides...and this doesn't mean fancy but has mud on it!

For everyone that's just getting into R's or maybe your beater bike, whatever it may be.

Should be somewhat current, not a pic of your R from 5 years ago before you completely rebuilt it.

Please one entry per person. Multiple pics of your one entry are welcome.

We reserve the right to "disqualify" you if we feel you don't meet the criteria.

Also, please refrain from comments until voting has started.

We have an incredible group of 250R enthusiasts here, or as  [MENTION=9]Pumashine[/MENTION] likes to say, "brethren."  Occasionally, I receive PM's from members that really underscore this point.  And today was one of those days.  I want to share a PM sent by  [MENTION=526]Piney0[/MENTION] in regards to QOTM:  

It isn't fair to Eddie if there is only 1 QOTM entry for the giveaway. So I refuse the prize. I wouldn't want to take advantage of ESR and ruin the QOTM sponsorship for the site or members.

The prize will be forfeited, but [MENTION=526]Piney0[/MENTION] will still be the winner of April 2016 QOTM.  While QOTM rules state that you may not "win" more than once per calendar year, "winning" April 2016 QOTM is not subject to this (i.e. [MENTION=526]Piney0[/MENTION] feel free to enter upcoming QOTM threads until a true "win" is obtained).

My thanks goes out to all of you who contribute positively, on any level, to this great forum!

I admire his thoughtfulness, but I disagree with him. If his quad meets the guidelines and no one else entered because they don't meet the guideline or just didn't bother, then he deserves the win. ESR doesn't care who wins QOTM. They only offer their sponsorship prizes to help out fellow 250R enthusiasts. I can't think of a better way that ESR would be helping out a fellow brethren than to give him some shiny new parts. The whole point of this month's theme was a "beater" or rougher looking 250R. What better way to enhance said "beater" than to accessorize it with some new parts? That would be ESR's intention to start with. [MENTION=526]Piney0[/MENTION], I respect your decision either way, but I think you deserve the win and you should reconsider.

I agree take the prize. You won fair and square. I don't think eddie would take it as being taken advantage of, if anything he would prolly like to help out because it's more advertisement for him  since it one more bike running around with his companies name plastered on it rather it's a big or small part.

Thanks for the kind words guys, but my opinion is that QOTM is a contest, and being the only one that entered can take the pride out of winning a contest.   I'm all for free stuff and to be honest if ESR was a national retailer like some of the other places we buy parts from, I would of likely taken it, but ESR is a mom & pop business, and does things like this out of the kindness of his heart which i highly respect.  It's not a big deal to me, I'll have plenty more chances of winning in the future.

I do not think Eddie would care. He would be happy that what you choose as your reward would be helping you to dress up or up performance of your beater winner imo. Based on how these awards have been going in the past I think he enjoys being a part of it and giving the winners some goodies.
