Hey guys, I have a fairly stock motor 86 R I was looking to do some light track and trail riding with. Looking for bottom to mid-range increase.

I have a Keihin 38mm carb and FMF pipe which came with it. Was thinking of an LED 300 setup with pipe, or possibly having Arlan port it, new LED pipe. Would doing porting with a high compression head / piston be an option? Any thoughts vs getting into a big bore setup for low / mid-range power? No issue running race gas if for just stock motor ported.

Thanks!

Good choice going with Arlen. I was going to suggest a ESR 5 pipe, but your going with Arlen, and his pipes are top knotch as well. If your wanting more low end , a 350 cylinder wouldn't be a bad choice. Give Arlen a call and he'd set you up perfectly.

It depends on how much money you want to spend. Talk to Arlan about the different size cylinders and how they increment in price. There are some nice OEM cylinders out there that have plenty of grunt. Rider weight is a big factor too
